SAWlings were created when scientist's all across the globe were trying to come up with the ultimate war companion( or weapon...) naturally they preformed horrible grotesque experiments resulting in horrible abominations due to their playing around with DNA, these failures were all "deposed of" until one day a group of scientists that had combined the DNA of a snake, a leopard, a lion, and a deer, the scientists chose these animals hoping to recreate the mythical creature called "the questing beast", these scientists were overjoyed that there experiment had worked immediately named it S.A.W, or rather Squad Assault Weapon. however the SAW wasn't quite what the scientists hoped, as they studied it's development, and tried to train it in the ways of war they realized it was not the Weapon they yearned for, so they did their best to recreate the creature, with different results, the appearance was different but thus, once again they came up empty, they did this multiple times but out of 50 of the creatures only 1 was fit for war, and around this time the race for a ultimate war weapon slowed down and

 so the scientists now had 50 creatures and no where to put them, one of the scientists(Royd Wood) took one home and tried to keep his 5 year old daughter, who had leukemia away from the creature but woke up the next day to see the creature playing with his daughter in her bedroom, the scientist took pictures and wrote things about the interaction on the back of some paperwork he was doing, he quickly showed his fellow scientists who then took it to the government. the government decided to test this creature out in one of the hospitals, where they played with he children and were helpful to the doctors, one of the doctors even trained one to fetch certain medical tools, SAW's quickly became known to the sick children as SAWlings, soon they became pets and were quickly used for other jobs as well.

SAWlings are herbivores, this means they eat no meat or seafood

some SAWlings get "rejected" these SAWlings have mutations that are not acceptable in the species because they are too "dangerous", these SAWlings are usually "disposed of" but sometimes these SAWlings are rescued by people willing to pay a lot of money for them, or sometimes they are stolen, these kinds of SAWlings are usually in high demand on the black market, and are sometimes used in illegal fighting rings, of course there are also normal SAWlings on the black market too, but mutations are in higher demand

SAWlings, like hybrids such as mules cannot reproduce because of certain complications due to the fact they are multiple animals put together

cost

SAWlings in their respective world are more for the wealthy but some middle class do own them, and of course people sell them on the black market too for a lower price

how do i submit my art of my SAWling??
-A: just head to the gallery and press the "contribute to this gallery" button in the upper right hand corner, and submit it to the right folder! in order to do this though you will have to be a member of the group first
